Let Them

"jj kills on its fucking way baby!"

jj are a band that release music through the Gothenburg-based record label Sincerely Yours, which was founded by the Swedish pop group The Tough Alliance. The name jj is a reference to the French film Jules et Jim. The band released their debut single "jj n° 1" in early 2009 and a couple of months later they released their debut album jj n° 2. Both the debut single and the debut album received a Best New Music inclusion from Pitchfork Media and a rating of 8 and 8.6 respectively. On December 24, 2009 it was announced that the American record label Secretly Canadian had signed jj to their label. At the same time, the release date for jj's second full length album was slated. The album, which will be called jj n° 3, will be released in the United States and Sweden on March 9, 2010. (wiki)

A gravadora Sincerely Yours disponibilizou para download o novo single do JJ. Com duas faixas o single tem samples de "I Wanna Make Love" do Akon(hahaha), em "Let Them", e a outra faixa intitulada "I'm The One / Money On My Mind" é uma linda versão da intro do The XX. Ouça e baixe!

Museum of Bellas Artes

sweden = sweet

The Swedes making thoroughly infectious, guilty pleasure-like pop is like Brits loving cups of tea - it seems to be part of the national psyche. How else can you explain Abba, Ace of Base and Robyn raiding the charts in the past? They seem to know how to make everybody get down, so forgive me for offering the plaudits to another splendid Swedish act - Museum of Bellas Artes. The Stockholm (surprise, surprise!) trio provide a smorgasbord of 70s funk, 80s electro and echoing sounds in their latest EP Days Ahead. And it stays true to tradition - this reviewer certainly found himself swaying his body from side-to-side in a state of electronic bliss.(Soundblab)

What Else? EP

Embassy + Studio = Crepes

"Dan Lissvik of Studio and Fredrik Lindson of Embassy have created an album of summery guitar pop songs. Completed in 8 days creating a result as pure as the idea itself.‘What Else?’ shows one extreme of Dan Lissvik and Studio’s musical spectrum. Pop instead of mysticism. Dan Lissvik has recently produced the new Taken By Trees album and has remixed Fever Ray & ‘What Else?’ features trademark production and the melodic excellence for which Dan is renowned. Limited to 300 copies only." (phonica)

Never Follow Suit EP

sweden's and the world's finest purveyor of pop music

The Radio Department goes dub. The Ep "Never Follow Suit" has, at least at a first glance, more in common with King Tubby and Augustus Pablo than Pet Shop Boys and My Bloody Valentine.  Foggy pop melodies find their way through multi-layered soundscapes of panoramic delays, hypnotic bass lines, echo-ing analogue synthesizers and skanky guitar loops. White Magic (2010)

another something special

"2010 solo project from CEO, AKA Eric Berglund, formerly one half of Swedish duo The Tough Alliance. On White Magic, Berglund continues to write vaguely optimistic lyrics that might seem to be at odds with the music, but actually enhances the listening experience. CEO mixes Electro-Pop bounce, synths, thrift-shop record samples, and many other audio accoutrements into his mix that is not far-removed from his previous outfit's sound. Features eight tracks including 'Come With Me'." (Amazon)

New Chance (2007)

"something special, something real"

'Producing the album themselves and barely breaking the 30-minute mark, TTA cram a truckload of influences into this punchy and concise piece of work, from the undying optimism of wonky pop as only the Swedes can do it ('Something Special') to 80's soaked rave-era beats ("Miami"), all linked by their shamelessly catchy synth-fuelled choruses. Through out many of the songs on A New Chance, the band seem to be searching for "something special, something real," for "soul that can't be bought or sold," or just "something that moves us tonight".'
