Allo Darlin' - Tallulah

Depois de ter lançado seu primeiro single, "Henry Rollins Don't Dance", pela WeePOP! records em 2009, esse quarteto chamou a atenção da gravadora Fortuna Pop! que sem perder tempo convidou o quarteto de Londres para fazerem parte de sua lista de fofuras, lançando assim em pouco tempo um par de singles. "The Polaroid Song" e "Dreaming" que conta com a participação do guitarrista Monster Bobby do The Pipettes. Logo veio o debut com o mesmo nome da banda, Allo Darlin', que varia entre o ukulele meloso e apaixonado e o punk alegre com baterias e baixos marcantes. O disco foi muito bem recebido resultando em uma grande turnê pelo Reino Unido, Europa e America. Com o final dessa turnê eles voltaram para Londres onde começaram a escrever e gravar novas canções para o segundo disco. A mais nova noticia é que eles finalizaram as gravações e intitularam o disco de "Europe". Ainda sem data prevista para o lançamento foi divulgado no facebook oficial da banda um video com uma nova canção, "Tallulah", que estará no novo disco. O video traz imagens gravadas pela banda e por amigos enquanto faziam a turnê pela America e pela Europa.

The Drums - "Money"

Ano passado os tambores do Brooklyn bateram mais fortes com o debut dos The Drums lançado. Não muito tempo em silêncio, eles já anunciaram um novo disco. Batizado de "Portamento", o novo disco terá 12 faixas e está previsto para setembro no Reino Unido. A sonoridade continua a mesma como podemos perceber no single já lançado, "Money", guitarras alegres, sintetizadores e letras contagiantes. Princess Chelsea

Chelsea Nikkel é conhecida por interpretar algumas canções na banda de twee pop The Brunettes e entre seus amigos por postar fotos com seu gato no facebook. Desde cedo ela sabia o que queria, e começou aprendendo piano. Chelsea lembra quando chegava correndo da escola só pra dedilhar seu piano e um dia um de seus amigos soube de seu talento e pediu pra ela tocar e nasceu o Teenwolf. Chelsea reclamava de suas roupas sujas e da falta de banho enquanto estava em turnê com o Teenwolf então ganhou o apelido de Princess Chelsea, do qual ela abrigou pela sua turnê com o Brunettes por alguns anos. Qualquer semelhança não é mera coincidência, afinal seu apelido e sua paixão pela trilha sonora da Disney ajudaram Chelsea a gravar seu debut Lil' Golden Book. A faixa e video que lhes apresento é "Cigarette Duet" e fala de uma conversa real que Nikkel teve com seu namorado sobre seu habito de fumar. Jonathan Bree "o brunette" contribuiu com a voz e a bateria nesse album que foi gravado no quarto de Chelsea. Seu som não foge muito do Brunettes. Foi lançado hoje um single digital da dupla Zooey Deschanel e M. Ward (a.k.a. She & Him). disponivel pela iTunes, Amazon e Merge o single vem com duas faixas; "I Put a Spell On You" que é um classico do macabro Jay Hawkins(ou Screamin' Jay Hawkins) e uma versão ao vivo gravada no programa de rádio KCMP da faixa que está no Volume Two, "Lingering Still". Para ouvir e comprar o single basta ir até a loja da Merge Records e se deliciar com a linda voz da linda Zooey.

"In April of 2010 Captured Tracks released a 7" single by an unknown new york band called MINKS. On the date of release, few people knew any information about the musicians behind the music. Most writers and listeners assumed that it was a one man bedroom music project, like many other artists on the label, and were confused even more when six musicians appeared on stage to perform songs at the first MINKS concert. The first single, titled "Funeral Song" was quickly praised by music journalists and publications like Pitchfork, Stereogum, and Fader. Fader said that it sounded like "If Robert Smith gave birth to a baby, and the baby was actually a cassette of Cure demos that had a lot more staying power than actual Cure demos." Seasons changed, and MINKS returned with a follow up 7" single titled "Ophelia," which continued to shadow people's minds with curious thoughts and open ears. The uniqueness of these early singles showed the ability to balance the feelings of joy and sadness, as well as a door to past and present worlds. For these songs were less about the songs themselves, but the ability to make you feel a certain emotion when listening to them. No element alone would stand out, but as a whole, the swirling waves of sound which Pitchfork would describe as "all texture and drift," would drive you away to a nostalgic place in your mind. With the release of "By The Hedge," MINKS further the ability to make you feel eternal autumn. Frontman and songwriter Sean Kilfoyle's ability to capture the raincoat grey Boston mornings of his youth, have the desire to make you feel like you are listening to a dream while awake and standing in the pouring rain. put on your raincoat and enjoy the splendor." Ainda esse ano o Minks apareceu do nada com o single "Funeral Song" e conquistou não só o meu, mas também o gosto de muita gente por aí. Recentemente eles divulgaram alguns detalhes sobre o seu debut. Intitulado By The Hedge, o album será lançado pela Captured Tracks no dia 12 de janeiro com 12 músicas. jj are a band that release music through the Gothenburg-based record label Sincerely Yours, which was founded by the Swedish pop group The Tough Alliance. The name jj is a reference to the French film Jules et Jim. The band released their debut single "jj n° 1" in early 2009 and a couple of months later they released their debut album jj n° 2. Both the debut single and the debut album received a Best New Music inclusion from Pitchfork Media and a rating of 8 and 8.6 respectively. On December 24, 2009 it was announced that the American record label Secretly Canadian had signed jj to their label. At the same time, the release date for jj's second full length album was slated. The album, which will be called jj n° 3, will be released in the United States and Sweden on March 9, 2010. (wiki)
